This class focuses on teaching the basics and fundamentals to students of the appropriate age and technical capacity. Because of the risk of injury, students must be physically prepared to begin point. A year requires full pre-pointe dancing and a pointe assessment evaluation before ascending to the top class. Pointe assessment allows teachers and students the opportunity to see where the student needs to work in order to prepare for pointe. The evaluation focuses on the legs (alignment and strength), feet (flexibility, strength, alignment and shape),
ankles (strength), and overall body
alignment in pointe class. We will be continuing our classical ballet technique training.
Dancers must be evaluated by instructor before class placement. Our goal is for students to take full advantage of each style to their maximum potential. Schedule your trail class now!
